Junior Herbalist Club 2026 and beyond!

In mid 2025 I became the Australian Co-ordinator of Junior Herbalist Club 🌟

I have now taught JHC Level 1 to over 75 children, and JHC Level 2 to over 30 children in South Australia! This year I am excited to be teaching my first group of Level 3's (teens) 🌼

In Level 3 we go through all the body systems - for example the digestive system, the respiratory system, the circulatory system, etc. We learn about herbs for those systems and make various formulations for the associated conditions - teas, tinctures, creams, oils, etc.

It is such a wonderful curriculum that really provides an excellent foundation for understanding herbal medicine. Including plant identification, making a wide range of herbal preparations and knowing which herbs to use for specific ailments.

The creator of JHC, Mel Hornby, is coming back to Australia in October 2026 to train another group of Australian Herbalists to be Junior Herbalist Club Leaders. I'm very excited to be assisting Mel with the training in Sydney this year and meeting the new cohort of Aussie JHC Leaders 💚
